summer.

Mon Jun 29, 2009, 3:28 PM
finally summer!

what're all your plans? doing anything exciting? tell me everything =)

i've got a miserable case of writers' block, and it just... eugh. i can't write anything
it's pretty rare to see people commissioning writing, but just throw random ideas at me. i promise i'll write something from it - it might be total crap, but i'll write something.

tell me what inspires you

and leave a few of your favourite books, if you don't mind. i'm dying for new books to read.

hope everyone's having a great summer so far.

  • Reading: breakfast at tiffany's
  • Watching: empty pages mocking me

I'm not the one to give help to get out of writer's block. I'm quite blocked myself. However, I can give you a couple good books to read. I just finished On Hitler's Mountain by Irmgard Hunt. It's written by a woman who grew up in Nazi Germany and lived very near to one of Hitler's retreats. It's very interesting to hear about her memories and experiences of the time.

Before that I read Enchantment by Orson Scott Card. Another wonderful book, this is a fantasy. Very enjoyable.

Best of luck getting unstuck.

Ah x_x doesn't the block just suck? Having ideas but not knowing how to put any of it onto paper..

On Hitler's Mountain? Just the name itself is intriguing. I'll go place a hold on it at the library right now. =)
The name Orson Scott Card sounds really familiar for some reason. Has he written anything else really famous or something?

Thank you for the suggestions. :) And good luck to you too! :glomp:

Hm.. what could you possibly right about.. *thinks*. Maybe you could right about my situation? (o.o that was like the first thing that came to mind)(and I'm okay, if you were wondering (: )

CAMPING this weekend! A YAD (the youth group from FGS) conference in Orlando! Camping with you and others soon too! Um... and anything else that would come to mind. d:

The things that really inspire me [to write] is my own life, like anything that may affect my life in anyway. But it's usually the love life that seems to give me ideas to write.

Ouu~ You could start reading Pendragon series.

Lol, sorry for such a long post. d:

He's written a lot of stuff. :iconhamletspants: has a bunch of his books. This is the first one I've read. I couldn't tell you off the top of my head what else he's done. I just known I've seen his name a lot.

On Hitler's Mountain is really intriguing. I hope you will enjoy it.

I wrote a silly little haiku today while I was cleaning stalls. It's nothing to brag about but at least it's writing. Hopefully it will be the start of something actually good.

Good luck to you, too!
