Happy Valentine's Day.



Today's supposed to be a day to celebrate love - and not just candied hearts and bouquets of roses, but love of all forms. real love.
Today's the day to celebrate your best friends who've stuck with you through all your whining and stupidity, and a day to celebrate family that've supported you through everything. even when you felt like you didn't deserve it.



Valentine's Day is a day to look around you and realize that love is everywhere.



It's there when a little boy waves at his mother from the back of the school bus until she's out and sight, and it's there when two siblings argue over how to evenly split the last cookie on the plate. yours has more chocolate chips than mine!
It's there in Vietnam when a 10 year old girl treks 8 kilometers a day to feed her family with her baby brother on her back and hope in her eyes.[link]
It's love when your friend annoys you endlessly for not telling her what's going on and it's still love when you two fight and hate each other and make up again after two days because you can't bear to be apart. is that true friendship?



Love is putting up with rants at 4am and falling asleep the next day on your exam paper. and attempting to kill your friend afterwards.
Love is being silly and blind and risky and foolish.
It's over-cliche'd and over-dramatic, but it is never, ever, ever too much.

I guess this is kind of a thank you note to all my friends for being so amazing and putting up with me. No matter what happens, I love you guys.

PS. This extremely sentimental and unlike me - don't expect to see this side of me too often.
