it's unfortunate that IB does not promote creative writing

finally summer!

what're all your plans? doing anything exciting? tell me everything =)

i've got a miserable case of writers' block, and it just... eugh. i can't write anything
it's pretty rare to see people commissioning writing, but just throw random ideas at me. i promise i'll write something from it - it might be total crap, but i'll write something.

tell me what inspires you

and leave a few of your favourite books, if you don't mind. i'm dying for new books to read.

hope everyone's having a great summer so far.

I've just spent the entire evening reading a single book - something I haven't done in years I think. And it's absolutely amazing

Ender's Game, by Orson Scott Card.

The title page and the fact that it's sci-fi was a bit of a turnoff but the novel as a whole was brilliant. Yes, I'm shamelessly advertising but I seriously think anyone who hasn't already read it needs to. Ignore the cheesy summary on the back, it doesn't do the novel anywhere near enough justice. read it read it read it.

In other news, I've finally started submitting NaPoWriMo stuff. It's all very rough and needs severe editing - if you guys have time, take a look at them and tell me which ones you think are worth it. Look for the ideas behind them, not the failure way they're expressed. =P

And school's getting far too busy. We should all start a countdown to summer.

Now go read Ender's Game!

So NaPoWriMo is finally over! And I did complete it.
..even if the last one was written at like 12am.

I'll update this journal, or write a new one soon with all of them in there I guess. Then they go through severe editing. Eugh.. I'm sick and tired of poems by now. Missing prose..

Anyways, the next week - the next couple actually - will be insanely busy, what with schoolwork and random activities outside of school. Sigh.. it's hard to believe that Grade 10's almost over. I don't want to have to start worrying about marks.

this journal depresses me.

OH! I forgot to mention! Thank you SO much to :iconshadowgriffen: for suggesting me for the DailyLitFeature. :glomp: It made me incredibly happy. :) If you guys haven't seen it yet, this is the piece that was featured. [link] And if you want to see the club's journal with all the Daily Lit Features, go here: [link]
While I'm not a member of the group, they seem pretty awesome, so go check it out if you have time.

How're all you guys doing?
